map area within a 10 mile square.
Install the update and go to Labs to enable the feature. You can then long press at any location to download the maps. Perfect for short trips with bad signal. Esp. those downtowns with tall buildings. And it saves battery too. If you are planning a vacation, the
new Google Maps lets you use public transit and receive the stop by stop directions along the way too. All we now need is a voice enabled tour guide to make those vacations more fun.
